Taking its cue from the resounding success of the 4th Gulf Excellence Forum held in 2005 at Kingdom of Bahrain, the 5th Gulf Excellence Forum shall be held in association with the Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, under the patronage and attendance of Crown Prince of State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani , on 1st and 2nd of May 2006 at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Doha , Qatar .

The 5th Gulf Excellence Awards shall be presented to the winners on the first day of the Forum. The award winners shall be selected based on specific criteria and rules by the award committee. The Gulf Excellence Awards are presented to organizations as recognition for their outstanding accomplishments and the success they have achieved in the competitive business world. The Gulf Excellence Awards shall serve as an inspiration for the business community to strive for excellence in all aspects of business.

The Forum events shall include sessions held by eminent speakers, sessions allocated for award winners to share their success stories, and sessions for sponsors to deliver a presentation on their prestigious organizations. There shall be interactive session between speakers and attendees which shall provide an opportunity for attendees to share their views and experience within the GCC business community.

On 1st May, 2006, two pre-forum workshops are scheduled to be held in the morning session simultaneously. These workshops shall provide interactive sessions on two relevant issues with a special focus to GCC. The workshops shall be conducted by Dr. Natik Sekouti and Dr. Bey Joudallah.
